FORKS — A Neah Bay man was injured and was transported to Olympic Medical Center after he rolled his vehicle off the roadway on U.S. Highway 101 in the Sol Duc Valley.
According to a Washington State Patrol report, John C. Edmisten, 50, was driving his Dodge Ram pickup east on U.S. Highway 101 at about 8:25 p.m. Sunday, according to the State Patrol.
A few miles west of Lake Crescent just east of Bear Creek Road, Edmisten’s vehicle left the roadway to the right, struck several trees and came to a rest on its side.
Olympic Medical Center reported Edmisten was treated and released.
Edmisten was distracted by vehicle controls, said the State Patrol, which recommended a citation for driving with wheels off the roadway.
The State Patrol report stated Edmisten was wearing a seatbelt and that no drugs or alcohol were involved. The vehicle was reportedly destroyed.
