PORT ANGELES — The car-passenger ferry MV Coho’s last day of service to Victoria before its two-week annual maintenance is on Sunday.
But Saturday is the only day this weekend that U.S. residents can take the Coho for a full day’s visit to the British Columbia capital.
That’s because the 341-foot ferry will make a quick departure from Victoria on Sunday morning so it can hurry back to Port Angeles, then go to its dry dock in Seattle that afternoon.
Friday and Saturday, the Coho will depart Port Angeles at 8:20 a.m., and leave Victoria at 4 p.m.
On Sunday, the Coho will leave Port Angeles at 8:20 a.m., then leave Victoria at 10:30 a.m.
Between Monday and Feb. 10, the 50-year-old ferry will go into dry dock at Todd Shipyards at Seattle’s Harbor Island.
The passenger ferry Victoria Express will run between Port Angeles and Victoria on Feb. 1-3 and 8-10.
Each Port Angeles departure on those six days will be at 8:30 a.m., then leaving Victoria at 4 p.m. One-way fare is $25.

The MV Coho will resume service Feb. 11 with two round trips daily, departing from Port Angeles at 8:20 a.m. and 2 p.m. One-way fare is $12.50.
