Music to augment Lavender Weekend

SEQUIM — Along with the myriad farm, Street Fair and Arts & Crafts Faire attractions — U-pick lavender, culinary and body care products, lavender lemonade and ice cream, to name a few — Lavender Weekend means music, live and free.

At the Arts & Crafts Faire at Carrie Blake Park organized by the Sequim Lavender Farmers Association, the schedule includes sets of an hour or so from these artists:

■ Today — 10 a.m., Americana with Locos Only; 11 a.m., opening ceremonies with gardening guru Ciscoe Morris; 12:45 p.m., gypsy jazz with Pearl Django;

2 p.m., Chicago jazz guitarist Paul Kogut; 3:15 p.m., Pearl Django; 4:30 p.m., jazz vocalist Sarah Shea; 5:45 p.m., Olympic Express Big Band.

■ Saturday — 10 a.m., folk and Americana with Redwing; 11:15 a.m., bluegrass with Luck of the Draw; 12:45 p.m., the 50-player Hometown Band; 2 p.m., R&B with the Soulshakers; 3:15 p.m., patriotic music with the Navy Ceremonial Band;

4 p.m., vintage rock with the Retro Guys; 5:45 p.m., rock ’n’ roll with All About Me.

■ Sunday — 10 a.m., traditional folk with Blackbird; 11:15 a.m., bluegrass with the Old Sidekicks; 12:30 p.m., Americana with Witherow; 1:50 p.m., country with Haywire; 3:10 p.m., country blues with Blue Rooster; 4:30 p.m., country with Buck Ellard.

Growers association

The Sequim Lavender Growers Association Street Fair, on Fir Street at Sequim Avenue, has these performers lined up for hourlong sets:

■ Today — 11:30 a.m., country blues and bluegrass with Farmstrong; 12:45 p.m., Celtic folk with Mary Tulin; 2 p.m., baby boomer-era rock with Final Approach;

3:15 p.m., bellydancing with Shula Azhar; 4:30 p.m., singer-songwriter Larry Murante; 5:45 p.m., Latin rhythms with Tanga.

■ Saturday — 11 a.m., gypsy jazz with Hot Club Sandwich; 12:15 p.m., folk-Americana with Witherow; 1:30 p.m., Larry Murante; 2:45 p.m., Brazilian rhythms with Porto Alegre; 4 p.m., folk rock with Twisted Roots; 5:30 p.m., rock with Locos Only.

■ Sunday — 11 a.m., singer-songwriter Michael Guthrie; 12:15 p.m., Hot Club Sandwich; 1:30 p.m., Tanga; 2:45 p.m., vintage and variety with the Whateverly Brothers; 4 p.m., Final Approach.
