THIS WEEK’S SCHEDULE of free outdoor music on the North Olympic Peninsula continues with:
■ SEQUIM MUSIC IN THE PARK — Tonight (Tuesday), 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Twisted Roots (folk).
Sequim’s Music in the Park is every Tuesday evening through Aug. 26 at the outdoor James Center amphitheater in the Sequim Water Reuse Park, 563 N. Rhodefer Road, just north of Carrie Blake Park.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket to the grassy expanse in front of the amphitheater and a picnic meal to enjoy while listening to the performance.
Next Music in the Park (last in this summer’s series): Navy Band Northwest (jazz, marches, patriotic favorites, popular music), Aug. 26.
■ PORT ANGELES CONCERT ON THE PIER — Wednesday, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Porto Alegre (Latin and swing).
The Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Concert on the Pier is every Wednesday night through Sept. 3 at City Pier.
Dancing is encouraged. City Pier is a dog-friendly, no-smoking, no-skateboards, no-alcohol venue.
Some chairs are available for the disabled and early arrivals. There are two snack and beverage vendors. Concerts will move to the roofed Gateway transit center, Lincoln and Front streets, if there’s rain.
“Bubble Man” Greg Bondy provides entertainment for kids at Concert on the Pier with chalk for pavement drawing and a bubble-making machine.
Next-to-last Concert on the Pier: Joy in Mudville (formerly known as Deadwood Revival; old-time bluegrass, jam-band, Motown, rock, funk, blues), Aug. 27.
■ PORT TOWNSEND CONCERT ON THE DOCK — Thursday, 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., The High Council (rock, blues, funk, reggae, livetronica).
The free Port Townsend Concerts on the Dock, sponsored by the Port Townsend Main Street Program, continues every Thursday through Aug. 28 at the Pope Marine Plaza in downtown Port Townsend.
Bring a chair or blanket and your shades. The concerts are for all ages.
A wine, beer and cider garden for concertgoers is available at the plaza beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Next Concert on the Dock (last in this summer’s series): Dirty Beat Duo (house trance and funky dance music) with opening by the Stars of Tomorrow competition winner, Aug. 28.
■ PORT ANGELES SUMMERTIME MUSIC! — Thursday, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., The Winterlings (indie folk duo with guitar, ukulele, violin, banjitar and percussion) at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.
This is the last performance in the three-concert Port Angeles Summertime Music! series funded by the Port Angeles Friends of the Library.
Bring a picnic and blankets or lawn chairs for seating.
■ SEQUIM SUMMERTIME MUSIC! — Friday, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., community contra dance, with caller Amy Carroll and the Power House band, at outdoor stage and adjacent area behind the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave. Dance lessons for all ages.
The four-concert Sequim Summertime Music! series concludes Friday, Sept. 12. It is funded by Friends of Sequim Library.
Bring blankets or lawn chairs for seating.
Sept. 12 concert (last in this summer’s series): The Soul Ducks (blues, rockabilly and classic R&B Motown.)
■ FORT FLAGLER SUMMER CONCERTS — Saturday at 5 p.m., Joy in Mudville (formerly known as Deadwood Revival; old-time bluegrass, jam-band, Motown, rock, funk, blues) at Battery Bankhead (follow signs) in Fort Flagler State Park.
Sponsored by the Friends of Fort Flagler. Food and beverages will be available for sale. Fort Flagler is at 10541 Flagler Road on Marrowstone Island.
No Discovery Pass is needed.
Next concert Sunday, Aug. 31 (last in this summer’s series): Navy Band Northwest (jazz, marches, patriotic favorites, popular music).
■ PORT TOWNSEND SUMMER BAND — Sunday, Aug. 24, 3 p.m., John Pope Marine Park, Water and Monroe streets.
Popular music by the 40-member band.
Bring lawn chairs, blankets, family and a picnic.
Next PT Summer Band concert: Sunday, Sept. 7, joint concert with Sequim City Band in Chimacum Schools auditorium.
