SEQUIM — The Sequim-Dungness Valley Chamber Merchant Group will present a new murder mystery for solving during the First Friday Art Walk in Sequim on Jan. 4.
During “Whodunnit Downtown? — The Case of the Mistaken Tin Foil Hat” game, visitors will engage with suspects and collect clues about them at venues throughout the downtown to solve the crime and win a chance for a prize.
The sixth annual mystery game will be from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. next Friday, Jan. 4.
The story
Here is the premise, according to Renne Emiko Brock, organizer of the Sequim Art Walk.
It’s 1967. The Apollo Space Program and Star Trek have prompted interest in extraterrestrial life beyond Earth.
The galactic curiosity inspired the famous fashion designer, Specular Specular, who launched her haute couture spring line with glowing reviews and petty theft.
Amok camera flashbulbs blasts during the fashion show finale, her silver showstopper topper, a ‘50s inspired satellite dish tin foil hat was stolen right off the model.
”Flashing lights, futuristic ideals, and unfamiliar faces have descended and something strange is happening in Sequim involving optics, fields, and fashion,” Brock said in a news release.
“Can you solve the mystery?”
