PORT LUDLOW — A Mukilteo woman was in serious condition in a Seattle hospital Thursday after a wreck involving a semitruck and a small Honda on state Highway 104 on Tuesday.
Lisa Ransopher, 22, remained in serious condition in the intensive care unit at Harborview Medical Center, according to Harborview staff Thursday.
Ransopher was airlifted to Seattle after she collided head-on with a semitruck on Highway 104 between Port Ludlow and Poulsbo at 2:17 p.m., the State Patrol said in a memo.
Crossed the centerline
Ransopher was driving westbound when her 2008 silver Honda Civic crossed the centerline and collided with a fully loaded semitruck headed east, the State Patrol said.
The semitruck swerved off the roadway, down the embankment and came to rest in a creek bed, according to the memo.
The driver of the truck, 27-year-old David Dyachishin of Puyallup, was transported to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton, according to the State Patrol.
Mild injuries
Dyachishin had only mild injuries from the wreck, according to Bill Beezley, communications officer for East Jefferson Fire-Rescue, who responded to the scene Wednesday.
According to Harrison Medical Center staff, Dyachishin had been discharged from the hospital by Thursday.
Under investigation
The cause of the wreck remains under investigation by the State Patrol.
The wreck blocked traffic along Highway 104 for 4½ hours while Airlift Northwest evacuated Ransopher and crews cleared the roadway.
Both vehicles were destroyed in the wreck, according to the State Patrol.
