PORT LUDLOW — A motorcyclist from Burien died Saturday after she crossed the centerline at state Highway 104 and South Point Road and collided with a pickup towing a utility task vehicle, the State Patrol said.
The driver of the pickup was not hurt, troopers said in the memo.
Mylinda A. McDaniel, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene after the 4:22 p.m. Saturday wreck.
McDaniel was northbound on a 2022 Roen Meteor on South Point Road at Highway 104 while Fredrick T. Pleines was driving a 2004 Chevy C4500 pickup towing a utility task vehicle.
McDaniel and the motorcycle came to rest in the eastbound lane of Highway 104.
Pleines came to a stop on the westbound shoulder of the highway.
McDaniel wore a helmet. Pleines wore a seatbelt. It is not known if drugs or alcohol were involved, the State Patrol said.
The motorcycle was completely destroyed and the utility task unit had reportable damage, the State Patrol said.
