Janet Lynn Rowland was 30 years old when she was killed by a gunshot inside her home west of Port Angeles.
A friend found her body early on Dec. 15, 1984, on her bedroom floor in a house on state Highway 112 just west of the Elwha River.
In the days and months following her death, investigators gathered 180 pieces of evidence and developed several suspects.
But Rowland’s death, like nine others on the North Olympic Peninsula in the past 33 years, remains an unsolved mystery.
