PORT ANGELES — A 46-year-old Port Angeles man who allegedly was viewing child pornography in the Port Angeles Library has been charged with four more counts of possession of images depicting children in sexually explicit situations.
The four charges filed last week make 11 counts of first-degree possession of depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct filed against Kevin Alden Clark, who pleaded not guilty to the additional charges Friday.
Clark remains in the Clallam County jail on $2,500 bond.
Clark’s jury trial will be rescheduled Feb. 25, which was the date originally set for the trial.
Ann Lundwall, a Clallam County deputy prosecuting attorney, said the additional charges stem from the potential identification of some of the people depicted in the child pornography Clark is accused of possessing, but she declined to comment further.
According to police accounts, a Port Angeles police officer dressed in plainclothes saw Clark allegedly viewing child pornography at a public computer terminal in the Port Angeles Library on Sept. 13.
Clark was arrested and found to have three thumb drives on him, which allegedly contain child pornography, police said.
Police also said they found multiple printouts allegedly depicting children engaged in sexual activity at Clark’s home in Port Angeles, according to court documents.
Police first became aware of Clark’s actions in late August after library staff contacted the department, according to court documents.
