SEQUIM — A 47-year-old Sequim woman missing since April 3 returned to her home Tuesday, the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office said.
Victoria E. Tamblyn was reported missing Saturday, and search-and-rescue teams from the Sheriff’s Office spent the weekend looking for her in the area of Kinkade Island along the Dungeness River without finding her.
Chief Criminal Deputy Ron Cameron said via email Tuesday she had returned on her own to a rental home near the Dungeness River “cold but apparently OK otherwise.”
“That’s where she left from. That’s where she returned to,” Cameron said.
Sheriff’s deputies took the missing-person report Saturday and learned that Tamblyn had told her roommate she planned to go into the woods to be alone.
Deborah Terwilliger, a friend and co-worker of Tamblyn’s, said in a phone interview Tuesday she and Tamblyn’s fellow co-workers were thinking of going out to look for Tamblyn if she had not been found in the next few days.
“I’m just glad she returned,” Terwilliger said.
“We’ve all been really worried about her.”
