PORT ANGELES — The Clallam County School Retirees’ Association recently announced the award of the Isabel Whitfield/Eleanor & Donald Naddy Teacher/Classroom Mini-Grants for the 2018-19 school year.
The association awarded 12 teachers a total of $4,966.
Awardees are:
Roosevelt Elementary
• Julie Haskins — $500 for classroom listening station books.
Stevens Middle School
• Leann McComb — $500 for the drama “The Trial of the Wicked Witch.”
Port Angeles Elementary School
• Mary O’Kief — $650 for the Young Writer’s Conference (for the district).
Port Angeles High School
• Bernie Brabant — $500 for Amazon business field trip & financial board games.
Forks Junior High School
• Brittney Echeita — $500 for the Cispus leadership camp.
Greywolf Elementary School
• Christine LaSalle — $398 for iPad and case.
• Jeni Newton — $150 for Lyrics2Learn.
Olympic Peninsula Academy
• Nessa Goldman — $270 for class organizational files.
Neah Bay High School
• Jim Ayers — $500 for the Wintergrass Festival.
Crescent School District
• Barb Silva — $300 for children’s theater “Diary of Anne Frank.”
• Kathryn Middlestead — $500 for a “Dear Even Hansen” project.
• Nancy McHeny — $198 for Sock Monkeys.
