NEAH BAY — A Snohomish man was flown to Harborview Medical Center on Saturday afternoon, after a one-vehicle wreck split his motorcycle in half.
Emmanuel E. Tereshchenko, 20, was ejected from his motorcycle and received moderate injuries.
The wreck happened 4 miles east of Neah Bay on State Route 112, when Tereshchenko lost control of his 2007 Suzuki motorcycle, said Trooper Alan Nelson in an accident report.
Nelson said the motorcyclist failed to negotiate a curve to the left.
The motorcycle went over on its side, then slid 10 feet before colliding with a guardrail post, which split it in half, ejecting Tereshchenko, he said.
He was flown to Harborview, where he was reported to be in stable condition Sunday.
Tereshchenko was cited for “speed too fast for conditions.”
He was wearing a helmet and had an endorsement for motorcycles, Nelson said.
There is no suspicion of drugs or alcohol in connection with the wreck, he said.
