PORT ANGELES — A 57-year-old Port Angeles man was arrested Monday for waving a “realistic looking” BB gun under the Elwha River Road bridge, Clallam County Sheriff’s Sgt. John Keegan said.
Edward Horner was booked into the Clallam County jail for investigation of unlawfully displaying a weapon capable for producing bodily harm in a manner that warrants alarm for the safety of other persons and an outstanding warrant, Keegan said.
Sheriff’s deputies and a Lower Elwha tribal police officer found Horner in possession of the BB gun in a shoulder holster.
He was reportedly yelling and waving the gun to passers-by on Crown Z Water Road at about 2 p.m., Keegan said.
Due to his level of intoxication, Horner was cleared for incarceration at the Olympic Medical Center emergency room prior to being booked into jail, Keegan said.
