SEQUIM — The recently formed Local Food Access Network will present a community discussion, “Bountiful Clallam: Local Folks Discuss Local Fare,” with Washington State University Clallam County Extension Director Clea Rome.
Attendees will meet in the community room of Nourish restaurant, 1345 S. Sequim Ave., from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 12).
The group’s mission is to connect consumers with the benefits of locally produced foods and services.
Rome has been working with local farmers to improve agricultural output and build stronger local markets for their goods.
She will inform participants of the recent developments and issues facing producers, engage in a discussion to help understand the importance of a sustainable agricultural industry in Clallam County and suggest what can be done to support this effort.
