■ Today at Bar N9ne, 229 W. First St., the open-mic variety show begins at 9 p.m.
■ On Friday at Front Street Alibi, 1605 E. Front St., the Port Angeles High School Class of 1989 reunion begins with a meet-and-greet, but at 9 p.m., Slacker, a band from Seattle, should get everyone dancing with their classic and modern rock music. Open to the public.
■ On Friday, the R&B Band with Rachael, Mick and Barry comes to Barhop Brewing, 124 W. Railroad Ave., from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
On Saturday, Taylor Ackley of Locos Only celebrates his last gig with some surprise local artists from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
■ On Friday at the Fairmount Restaurant, 1127 W. U.S. Highway 101, there’s a jam session from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., followed by the Serendipity Band with special guests Rusty and Duke from High Country until 8 p.m.

■ Today, the Port Townsend Concerts on the Dock brings Rippin’ Chicken to Pope Marine Plaza in downtown Port Townsend. The group is composed of three funky brothers from three different mothers playing funk, boogaloo and soul jazz. Open at 4:30 p.m., with music from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Free.
Attendees can bring picnics or find food to-go at local businesses.
A beer, wine and cider garden will be available.
■ Today at the Resort of Port Ludlow beach, 121 Marina View Drive, the Badd Dog Blues Society plays for the beach party from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., featuring Jeff Dales on guitar and vocals, Todd Fisher on bass, Hammerin’ Hank on sax and Tom Svornich on drums. Free outdoor show for all ages with a barbecue.
■ On Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Laurel B. Johnson Community Center, 923 Hazel Point Road, Coyle, Jean Mann brings her “soul-quenching voice” of the indie music genre, accompanied by violinist Geli Wuerzner. For all ages. Admission by donation.

■ On Saturday, Olympic Cellars, 255410 U.S. Highway 101, imports a buzzed-about Canadian band for the next summer concert series at 7 p.m. Delhi 2 Dublin rocks your world with fiddle, percussion and vocals.
This is a benefit performance for the Port Angeles Rotary Club.

■ On Saturday, join in the 32nd annual Joyce Daze Wild Blackberry Festival from 9 a.m. till after 5 p.m.
Dave and Rosalie Secord host the entertainment, and Jim Lind (blues, country, variety) kicks it off at 9 a.m., followed by Terry Roszatycki (country), at 10 a.m. at the Joyce Depot Museum
At 11 a.m., the barbershop quartet NBR (No Batteries Required) takes the stage, and at noon, the Secords with their Luck of the Draw band bring you plenty of bluegrass, blues, country, sing-along and old-time rock ’n’ roll.
The parade is at 1 p.m., there’s a cheering contest (who can holler the loudest?) at 2 p.m., and the Olympic Mountain Cloggers strut their stuff at 2:30 p.m.
Stick around to see the Dancing Grannies at 3 p.m., and then Luck of the Draw returns until closing.
