EVEN THOUGH THE days are getting shorter bit by tiny bit after the recent summer solstice, there are still plenty of venues with outdoor music for your enjoyment.
Port Angeles
■ Today at Castaways Restaurant and Night Club, 1213 Marine Drive, it’s Jerry’s country jam with guest singers Rusty and Duke from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
On Friday, Port Angeles native Dee Coburn and the Night Beats will play oldies, country and rock ’n’ roll from 8 p.m. to midnight.
■ Today at The Dam Bar, junction of U.S. Highway 101 and state Highway 112, Chip Norris hosts the jam session from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
On Saturday, Crossfire plays classic country, rock and a few originals from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
■ On Friday at the Fairmount Restaurant, 1127 W. U.S. Highway 101, Rosalie and Dave Secord and the Luck of the Draw play with guest Mike Bare from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
You can catch this local bluegrass favorite again Wednesday night at the Concert on the Pier at City Pier from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
On Sunday, join the country jam from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
■ On Friday, Joy in Mudville, with Jason Mogi and Paul Stehr-Green, bring its old-time funk and rock to Barhop Brewing, 124 W. Railroad Ave., from 7:30 p.m. to midnight.
■ On Friday, the 2nd Friday Art Rock (2FAR) at Bar N9ne, 229 W. First St., features Port Townsend’s Steve Grandinetti Band with John Sanders, Mike McClure and Ray Renuart. The local artist this month is Kristen Kudebeh. The show starts at 8 p.m. $3 cover.
On Saturday, the Soul Ducks play hoppin’ rockabilly blues from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. $5 cover. The show’s proceeds go toward Alzheimer’s disease research.
■ On Saturday, Hawaii Amor plays ukulele and native music at Elliott’s Emporium, 135 E. First St., from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
■ On Tuesday at the Port Angeles Senior Center, 328 E. Seventh St., Wally’s Boys play ballroom dance favorites from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. $5 cover; first-timers free.
■ On Wednesday, Easy Street Coffee and Teahouse, 128 W. First St., will host an open mic from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. No cover songs.
Joyce
■ On Saturday at the Salt Creek Saloon and Grill, state Highway 112 and Camp Hayden Road, Chip Norris coordinates a music jam from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Sequim
■ Today at Wind Rose Cellars, 143 W. Washington St., Cort Armstrong and friends entertain from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
On Friday, Sarah Shea & Chez Jazz provide an evening of instrumental jazz from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
On Saturday, friends of Taylor Ackley gather from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. for a going-away party. Taylor is moving to New York to work on his master’s degree. He will be missed by those who know his music.
On Wednesday, Bill Volmut showcases original tunes and acoustic folk rock from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
■ On Friday, start the weekend off at The Oasis Bar and Grill, 301 E. Washington St., by dancing Dixieland-style to the Dukes of Dabob from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
On Saturday, the Olympic Express Big Band plays the music of the ’40s and ’50s from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, come back and get swingin’ with Dean Ratzman from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Dean plays piano, trumpet and trombone, and sings music of the ’40s to the ’70s, from jazz to soul.
■ On Friday at Stymie’s Bar & Grill at the Cedars at Dungeness, 1965 Woodcock Road, R&B (Rachael and Barry) perform their version of classic rock and Motown at 3 p.m. for the Uncorked Wine Tasting Fundraiser for Local Heroes. Locos Only performs at 5 p.m.
■ On Saturday at the Sequim VFW, 169 E. Washington St., the public can hear High Country and special guest steel pedal player Wayne Franco from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

■ On Friday at 7 p.m. at the Dungeness Schoolhouse, 2781 Towne Road, Sequim, symphonic cellist Jess Ahmann plays Johann Sebastian Bach and is then joined by Al Harris at the piano for some ’40s and ’50s pop songs. $10 suggested donation.
■ On Friday, the Quimper Grange, 1217 Corona St., Port Townsend, has Hawaiian slack key guitarist Chris Yeaton and slap ’n’ tap guitarist Adam Werner bring their national acoustic performances from 7:15 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. This world music concert is $15 in advance or $25 at the door.
