AROUND THE PENINSULA, with the promise of continuing sunshine, many venues are still offering outdoor live music.

Port Angeles
■ Today at Castaways Restaurant and Night Club, 1213 Marine Drive, it’s Jerry’s country jam with guest performer Les Wamboldt from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
■ Today at Bar N9ne, 229 W. First St., the open-mic variety show begins at 9 p.m.
On Friday, 2nd Friday Art Rock (2FAR) features the Bar N9ne House Band and a performing artist from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. $3 cover supports the artists.
On Saturday, DJ Bizzle spins favorites for dancing starting at 9 p.m.
■ On Friday at Barhop Brewing, 124 W. Railroad Ave., Locos Only, with Kevin Lee Magner, Paul Stehr-Green, Russ Lowry and Scott Bradley, rocks the planks and timbers for dancing at 8 p.m.
■ On Friday at the Fairmount Restaurant, 1127 W. U.S. Highway 101, there’s a jam session from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., followed by Dave and Rosalie Secord with the Luck of the Draw Band and their special guests, The Old Sidekicks. Their second CD-release party is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
■ On Friday, the Coo Coo Nest, 1017 E. First St., hits Port Angeles hard with three bands from about 9 p.m. Xoth, Northern Bastard and Master Kush Ultra will deliver myriad heavy-metal music.
■ On Friday at The Dam Bar, junction of U.S. Highway 101 and state Highway 112, Gordon Bowlby hosts the jam session from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
■ On Saturday at Elliott’s Antique Emporium, 135 E. First St., as part of the Second Saturday Art Walk, Hawaii Amor plays traditional songs on the ukulele from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
■ On Saturday at the Front Street Alibi, 1605 E. Front St., the Famdamily Band plays rocking blues from 9 p.m. to midnight.
■ On Tuesday at Black Diamond Community Hall, 1942 Black Diamond Road, Colin Hume, an internationally known contra dance caller and instructor, returns to the West Coast for the first time since 2007 from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The Rosewind Country Dance Band — Port Townsend musicians Libby Schnick and Dan Post on fiddle, Marsha Wiener on piano, Libby Reid on mandolin and guitar, Dick Lynn on guitar and flute, and Fred Nussbaum on cello and mandolin — plays. Admission is $9; younger than 18, $4.
■ On Tuesdays at the Port Angeles Senior Center, 328 E. Seventh St., Wally’s Boys play ballroom dance favorites from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. $5 cover; first-timers free.
Sequim
■ Today at Wind Rose Cellars, 143 W. Washington St., Cort Armstrong and friends entertain from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
On Friday, Sam Amazyan and Brandon Smith play classical guitar and gypsy music from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
On Saturday, it’s Lush Life with Trevor Hanson and Jim Rosand entertaining with jazz from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
On Wednesday, Bill Volmut showcases original tunes and acoustic folk rock from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
■ On Friday at The Oasis Bar and Grill, 301 E. Washington St., get your Dixieland infusion with the Dukes of Dabob from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
On Saturday, the Olympic Express Big Band fills up the memory banks with its danceable oldies (’40s variety) from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, if you haven’t gotten your dance exercise yet, Dee Coburn and the Night Beats will get you moving with grooving oldies from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
■ On Friday at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., the outdoor “Summertime Music” concert series ends with a blast of rockabilly and blues from the Soul Ducks from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. In case of inclement weather, the show will go on inside the library. A free family event; picnics and dancing are encouraged.
■ On Friday at Stymie’s Bar & Grill at Cedars at Dungeness, 1965 Woodcock Road, you can hear Rufus Perry and Craig Buhler playing popular rock and blues with vocals from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
■ On Saturday at the Sequim VFW, 169 E. Washington St., Silver and Gold are on stage to bring dancing music to the public from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. No cover.
■ On Wednesday at Nourish, 1345 S. Sequim Ave., Victor Reventlow hosts the open mic from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with sign-ups at 6 p.m. Poets and tale-tellers also are welcome.
Blyn
■ On Friday at Club Seven lounge at 7 Cedars Casino, 270756 U.S. Highway 101, dance to Triple Shot playing Top 40s from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
On Saturday, Whiskey River is on stage with its classic rock and Lynyrd Skynyrd hits from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
On Friday at the Rainforest Bar, listen to country guitarist Jim Hoffman from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

■ Today at Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 2333 San Juan Ave., Port Townsend, Brazilian jazz singer Paula Santoro and jazz pianist Rafael Vernet take on their first tour of the Pacific Northwest from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. All ages welcome. Tickets (cash or check only) are $20 at the door.
■ On Saturday at the Sequim Prairie Grange, 290 Macleay Road, the Washington Old Time Fiddlers Association start its fall season with an on-stage performance at 1:30 p.m. Free and open to the public.
■ On Saturday at Jardin du Soleil Lavender Farm, 3932-Sequim Dungeness Way, Sequim, the annual Jungible Music Festival takes place from 2 p.m. to “late.”
Joy in Mudville is part of the festival, along with McTuff, Br’er Rabbit, The Dip, Armstrong Lawton Katz and, headlining the festival again this year, Polyrhythmics.
Tickets for $25 are available at the farm or at www.brownpapertickets.com. Those younger than 12 get in free.
■ On Saturday in the Elks Lodge ballroom, 131 E. First St., Port Angeles, the Soul Ducks play their energetic rockabilly, rhythm and danceable blues from 8 p.m. to midnight. Guest sign-ins will be available for public entry, with donations accepted for the building fund.
■ On Saturday at the Sequim Open Aire Market, 104 E. Washington St., the Cat’s Meow Jazz Band plays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The market has been moved from Cedar Street to make way for civic center construction.
