Lincoln Street/Highway 101 reopens after sewer repair

Lincoln Street, which is also U.S. Highway 101, reopened between Fourth and Fifth streets at about 2 p.m. Saturday after having been closed since Thursday for emergency repair on a sewer line. A break was found during a routine inspection. Rainfall and the age of the fill under the roadway hampered the crew’s work. Both lanes were closed to traffic with detours to Tumwater Truck Route and Lauridsen Boulevard.
