PORT ANGELES — The Kiwanis Club of Port Angeles is selling cans of nuts in its annual holiday fundraiser.
Cans of nuts can be purchased for $20 each through Christmas Day from members of the Kiwanis Club of Port Angeles; at Jim’s Pharmacy, 424 E. Second St.; Olympic Laundry &Cleaners, 418 S. Lincoln St.; KONP Radio, 721 E. First St.; and Necessities &Temptations gift shop, 217 Laurel St.
Two kinds can be purchased: mixed gourmet and delicious delights (chocolate covered).
“In previous years, we’ve sold at tables set up outside grocery stores and other locations. This year, due to various factors, we will not be doing table sales,” said Darcey Beck, Kiwanis member.
“But our club members are out and about selling, and we have great businesses who have agreed to sell them for us as well.”
The fundraiser is one of the largest for the club. Proceeds from the sales help support youths in the Port Angeles community, club members said.
“We know there are people out there who wait all year long for these,” Beck said.
“We greatly appreciate their support for our club and for this project.”
