MAY DAY, THE first of May, is finally here with its promise of warmer, sunnier weather.

Port Angeles
■ Today at Castaways Restaurant and Night Club, 1213 Marine Drive, Jerry’s country jam features Rusty and Duke from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
On Saturday, the Soul Ducks bring on their Motown, rockabilly and danceable rhythm and blues from 8 p.m. until midnight.
■ Today at Cafe New Day, 102 W. Front St., Dan Maguire gives a concert of his original songs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
■ On Friday at Barhop Brewing, 124 W. Railroad Ave, Mick and Barry play classic rock and country from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
■ On Friday at the Fairmount Restaurant, 1127 W. U.S. Highway 101, Serendipity hosts a country jam from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., followed by Serendipity with special guests Chuck Grall and Gene Hancock from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
On Sunday, join the country jam from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
■ On Friday, Oven Spoonful, 110 E. First St., hosts the cafe’s second-anniversary party with harpist John Manno through the afternoon and Sarah Shea singing from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m.
Dinner specials, wine, beer and espresso will be served, and a drawing for a $100 Oven Spoonful gift certificate will be held. The cafe can be reached at 360-457-OVEN (6836).
■ On Saturday at Easy Street Coffee and Tea House, 128 W. First St., Alex Marusyk with Daniel and Tiffany Mathre, singers-songwriters, play original music from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. $5 suggested donation.
