■ Today, the Junction Roadhouse, 242701 U.S. Highway 101, Jason Mogi and Kim Trenerry (Tongue and Groove, Deadwood Revival) celebrate their 11th anniversary by performing the songs of the Grateful Dead in a tribute to the late Jerry Garcia, who would have turned 71 today. No cover.
On Saturday, the Tim Hall Band plays the blues from 8 p.m. to midnight. Cover.

■ On Friday at the Sequim, 630 N. Sequim Ave., the Olympic Express Big Band plays dance numbers from the 1940s, ’50s and ’60s from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. For all ages.
■ On Saturday in Port Angeles, it’s a Rockin’ the Arts benefit at The Landing mall, 115 E. Railroad Ave., to support Safe Haven — the cageless, no-kill animal shelter run by the Peninsula Friends of Animals.
Live music — with sets by Getta Rogers, Chesnut Junction, the Retro Guys, Redwing and the Soulshakers — starts at noon and continues until 6 p.m. There also will be a silent auction for donated art pieces.
■ The summer concert series at Olympic Cellars, 255410 U.S. Highway 101, continues Saturday with a benefit for the Juan de Fuca Festival of the Arts. The Northwest’s leading Rolling Stones tribute act, Midnight Rambler, takes the stage from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

■ On Sunday afternoons in August, McComb Gardens, 751 McComb Road, Sequim, is “where bluegrass grows.” The Old Sidekicks kick off the concert series this Sunday at 1 p.m.
■ On Sunday, Friends of Fort Flagler presents a free concert by the Navy band Passage from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Battery Bankhead at Fort Flagler State Park, 10541 Flagler Road, Nordland.
■ And finally, congratulations to Denny and Gail Secord, who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last month.
Denny and Gail were the king and queen of country music on the Peninsula for many years.
