JUNE ARRIVES THIS weekend, and with it, the summer season.
Even though summer doesn’t officially start for a few more weeks, we’ll be reporting on more outdoor events as they come up.
If the weather isn’t obliging, take in an inside event or two each week, and you’ll keep your dancing moves in perfect rhythm.
Port Angeles
■ Today at Castaways Restaurant and Night Club, 1213 Marine Drive, Rusty, Jerry and the rest of High Country are back for the Country Jam. They’ll have you dancing and singing along from 5 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.
On Saturday, the Jimmy Hoffman Band brings classic country rock for another great night of dancing from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
■ Today at the Junction Roadhouse, 242701 U.S. Highway 101, multi-instrumentalist Ches Ferguson is joined by the rhythm section of Paul Eyestone (bass) and Zubrie Kamau (percussion) from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
On Friday, blues giant Sammy Eubanks and his band come all the way from Spokane for a night of rocking blues from 8 p.m. to midnight.
On Saturday, the Tim Hall Band brings more blues grooves from 8 p.m. to midnight.

On Sunday, Redwing performs country, blues and folk music from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
On Wednesday, Joy in Mudville plays from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
■ On Saturday at Wine on the Waterfront, 115 Railroad Ave, Charisa delivers sultry, heartfelt interpretations of the Great American Songbook accompanied by Michael Rivers on piano.
■ On Friday at Barhop Brewing, 124 W. Railroad Ave., Rachael, Mick and Barry perform classic rock, Motown and more from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
■ On Friday at the Fairmount Restaurant, 1127 W. U.S. Highway 101, Dave and Rosalie Secord and the Luck of the Draw Band welcome guest Chuck Grall from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
On Sunday, join the country jam from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
■ Every Tuesday at the Port Angeles Senior Center, 328 E. Seventh St., Wally and the Boys play ballroom dance favorites from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. $5 cover; first-timers free.
■ On Friday and Saturday at Dupuis Restaurant, 256861 U.S. Highway 101, Bob and Dave play blues from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Sequim and Blyn
■ On Friday at The Oasis Bar and Grill, 301 E. Washington St., Awesome Bob performs dancing favorites from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
On Saturday, Awesome Bob is back for a later set from 8 p.m. to midnight.
On Wednesday, the Blue Hole Quintet jazzes it up from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
■ On Friday at Wind Rose Cellars, 143 W. Washington St., Sarah Shea and Chez Jazz perform from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
■ On Saturday, Mary Tulin interprets Celtic folk noir on vocals, guitar and Irish bouzouki from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
■ It’s “All the Buzz” Wednesday at the Sequim Senior Activity Center, 921 E. Hammond St., with Victor hosting the open mic from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
■ On Friday in Club Seven lounge at 7 Cedars Casino, 270756 U.S. Highway 101, Blyn, it’s time to “cowboy up” with the Doo-Wah Riders from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
On Saturday and Sunday, the Sammy Eubanks Band continues its Olympic Peninsula weekend of classic rocking blues. It plays Saturday from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. and Sunday from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
At the Rainforest Bar, which features live solo acts, Joey James Dean performs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, and Chris Switzer and his guitar entertain from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday.
Port Ludlow
■ On Wednesday at the Resort at Port Ludlow, 1 Heron Road, Trevor Hanson performs on classical guitar in the Fireside Restaurant from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Port Hadlock
■ On Saturday at the Ajax Cafe, 21 Water St., it’s classic rock, country and more with Mick and Barry from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Port Townsend
■ On Friday at The Upstage, 923 Washington St., two bands will take you back to your roots — musical roots, that is. First up is the Laura Cortes Trio, featuring two fiddles and a cello, at 7 p.m. Afterward, Canadian folk troubadours Fish and Bird perform. $8 cover.
On Saturday,16-time Blues Music Award nominee Nick Moss and his band perform at 7:30 p.m.
On Sunday, join the Sunday Night Blues Jam and hone your playing, vocalizing and other blues skills starting at 6 p.m. $5 cover.
On Monday, Monday Night Live, one of the Northwest’s most welcoming open mic nights, takes over the stage from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
On Tuesday, Ukuleles Unite, East Jefferson County’s largest ukulele club, holds its monthly get-together from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Bring your uke and join in the fun. They even have loaner instruments available.

■ On Friday at Sirens Pub, 823 Water St., classical violin techniques meet 1920s-era jazz meets Yiddish theater when the Sour Mash Hug Band performs at 10 p.m. $5 cover.
On Saturday, it’s house, trance and funky dance with the Dirty Beat Duo at 10 p.m. $5 cover.
■ On Friday at Port Townsend Brewing, 330 10th St., Tim Halpin (Better Half), Sean Devine (Jelly Rollers) plus the rhythm section of Todd Fisher and Tom Svornich team up as T.S. Fisher and the Smooth Operators. They’ll be playing “blues to make you move” from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
On Sunday, Howly Slim brings his easygoing style to the beer garden from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
On Wednesday, BBR plays classic rock and R&B, plus country and Motown, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
■ On Friday at the Uptown Pub, 1016 Lawrence St., Sam I Am plays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Matt Sircely plays from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. No cover.
On Saturday, T.S. Fisher and the Smooth Operators play electric blues from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. $5 cover.
■ Today, Steve Grandinetti plays guitar at the Owl Sprit Cafe, 218 Polk St., from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
■ Today and Friday, Steve plays and sings at the Northwest Maritime Center Cafe, 431 Water St., from noon to 2 p.m.

■ Want to be part of a live CD recording? Farm Strong, a new bluegrass and country band featuring Jim Faddis, Cort Armstrong, Rick Meade and John Pyles, is recording its debut CD at Dungeness Community Studios on Primrose Lane in Dungeness from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
