Port Angeles
■ Today at the Junction Roadhouse, 242701 U.S. Highway 101, Chesnut Junction with Ches Ferguson, guitar; Kevin Briggs, guitar; Ron Daylo, flute; Paul Eyestone, bass; and percussionist Zubrie Kamau will have you grooving from 8 p.m. to midnight. The band is filling in for a band that had to cancel at the last minute due to a death in the family.
On Wednesday, Joy in Mudville (Jason Mogi, Paul Stehr-Green and Colin Leahy) performs a unique mix of old-time/jam-band/rock/Celtic-funk-influenced original and cover tunes at 7:30 p.m.
■ On Friday at Barhop Brewing, 124 W. Railroad Ave., Twisted Roots will perform some new material, other originals and a new song, “The Girl I Can’t Forget,” from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
■ Today at Castaways Restaurant and Night Club, 1213 Marine Drive, Jerry Robison and Company with guests Jim Henson from California along with Terry Roszatycki will have you moving to a country groove from 5 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.
On Saturday, the Jimmy Hoffman Band struts and strums country-style with classic and Southern rock mixed in from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
■ On Tuesday at the Port Angeles Senior Center, 328 E. Seventh St., the Port Angeles Senior Swingers present Wally’s Boys playing ballroom dance favorites from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. $5 cover; first-timers free.
■ On Friday at the Fairmount Restaurant, 1127 W. U.S. Highway 101, Old Tyme Country plays your favorite old-time country tunes from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
On Sunday, join the country jam from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Sequim and Blyn
■ On Friday at The Oasis Bar and Grill, 301 E. Washington St., Nostalgia plays favorite dance tunes from the 1930s to ’50s from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
On Saturday, Buck Ellard and Friends play country hits from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, dance to more country with Denny Secord Jr. and friends from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

■ On Sunday at Nourish restaurant, 1345 S. Sequim Ave., Chez Jazz with Al Harris and Sara Shea will sing standards and other songs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
On Wednesday, Victor Reventlow hosts the open mic from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with sign-ups at 6 p.m.
■ On Friday at Stymie’s Bar & Grill at Cedars at Dungeness, 1965 Woodcock Road, Trevor and Sam the Pirates play Irish pub music and folk songs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
■ On Friday in Club Seven lounge at 7 Cedars Casino, Blyn, dance the night away with Sway to its mix of old and new Top 40 dance music from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
On Friday in the Rainforest Bar, Jimmy Hoffman croons country-style from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
On Saturday, Thom Davis and his solid silver guitar and Mr. C on harp belt out the blues from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

■ Today at Sirens, 823 Water St., Dan and the Juan de Fuca Band (Dan Maguire, guitar and vocals; Clark Driese, guitar; Eric Neurath, bass; and Declan Westcott, drums) play original rock music at 9 p.m. $5 cover.
On Saturday, the Jackalope Saints play part-folk, part-bluegrass, part-soul original music by singer-songwriter Clinton Herrick at 9 p.m. $5 cover.
■ On Tuesday at the Cellar Door, 940 Water St., the Ed Donahue/Chuck Easton jazz quartet will have you swaying to the music from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
■ Today, Steve Grandinetti plays guitar at the Owl Sprit Cafe, 218 Polk St., from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
■ Every Monday, Trevor Hanson plays guitar at Alchemy, 842 Washington St., from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
High notes
■ On Friday, Olympic Peninsula Dance presents Haywire playing country, blues and classic rhythm and blues at the Port Townsend Elks Lodge, 555 Otto St., from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. General admission, $15; students with ID and disabled, $10. Singles and couples are welcome. Smoke-free. ■ A musical benefit for Port Angeles resident Autumn (Pierce) Washburn will be held at the Sequim Prairie Grange, 290 Macleay Road, Sequim, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Washburn, a single mother with two children, is undergoing chemotherapy for a rare blood disorder and is out of work during the winter.
The band Old Growth will perform classic rock and some country selections. Food also will be available.
Admission is by donation, or donations may be made to the Autumn Washburn Fund at First Federal branches in Sequim and Port Angeles.
■ On Monday at the Black Diamond Community Hall, 1942 Black Diamond Road, Port Angeles, national touring band Perpetual E Motion and caller George Marshall return to the contra dance scene.
Since it’s a school night, dancing begins at 6:30 p.m. Adults, $10; seniors and teens, $8; kids, $5.
■ On Tuesday, the popular Jazz in the Pub Series returns to Peninsula College, Port Angeles, with an hourlong concert by the Jazz Ensemble at 12:30 p.m. Bring your own lunch or pick up a bite and/or coffee at the Pirate Cove Cafe.
■ On Wednesday, the Shipley Center (formerly Sequim Senior Center), 921 E. Hammond St. in Sequim, will feature the Cats Meow Jazz Band for the senior dance starting at 6 p.m. Shipley Center members, $4; nonmembers, $5.
■ The band Serendipity will play 1950-’60s dance music at Dry Creek Grange, 3130 W. Edgewood Drive, Port Angeles, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Ron DeFrang, Port Angeles guitarist with Thin Ice and Dirty Joe, passed away earlier this month.
