PORT TOWNSEND — A local couple was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle early Thursday morning after their car went off the road into a creek along state Highway 19.
In addition, a Seattle woman in the car was taken to Jefferson General Hospital where she was listed in stable condition Thursday.
Diana F. Butler, 74, of Port Townsend, was listed in serious condition Thursday afternoon at Harborview, a nursing supervisor said.
Her husband, James D. Butler, 76, also of Port Townsend, was still being evaluated in Harborview’s emergency room late Thursday afternoon, the supervisor said.
He was initially taken to Jefferson General before being transported to Harborview.
Celeste A. Butler, 39, of Seattle, was in stable condition at Jefferson General, officials there said.
According to a Washington State Patrol report, Butler was driving a Suzuki Sidekick northbound on Highway 19 near Oak Bay Road about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday.
