PORT HADLOCK — Jefferson County Library has announced some activities for teens in March and April.
Interested poets may submit original works for inclusion in “Streams of Thought II” an anthology of poetry by East Jefferson County teens.
Works may be submitted from now through Friday, March 29, submission guidelines are available at www.tinyurl.com/PDN-Submit-Poem.
The library will also be holding its third Teen Photography Contest.
This year’s theme for annual competition is “Composition.”
A panel of local photographers will select the top three entries and there will also be a People’s Choice Award.
Photographic works may be submitted between Tuesday, April 23 and Friday, May 10.
Photos will be on display in the library, 620 Cedar Ave, during the month of May with a special reception at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 23.
The contest is open to photographers aged 18 and younger.
Submissions may be black and white or color and may be submitted with or without a matte, no frames.
Prints may be no longer than 14 inches on the longest side and must have the photographers name, phone number and email address on the back.
