PORT TOWNSEND — Jefferson County commissioners have awarded 12 lodging tax grants.
The funds will be provided for the 2022 calendar year to nonprofit organizations that promote tourism.
Commissioners approved the grants, allocated from the Hotel Motel Lodging Tax Fund, on Monday.
The grants are:
• $295,000, Tourism Coordinating Council.
• $83,000, Jefferson County Historical Society.
• $64,271, Forks Chamber of Commerce.
• $62,935, Quilcene Historical Museum.
• $46,080, Jefferson County Parks and Recreation.
• $40,000, Centrum.
• $20,000, Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce.
• $17,950, Quilcene Fair and Parade Association.
• $13,520, Jefferson County Farmers Market.
• $3,102, Port Ludlow Village Council.
• $3,000, Quilcene Brinnon Garden Club.
• $2,000.64, Port Ludlow Village Council.
