Elections divisions in Clallam and Jefferson counties will participate in National Voter Registration Day today.
Residents eligible to vote in either county can visit their auditor’s office to register.
In Jefferson County, the office is on the first floor of the county courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend, and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
While supplies last, a free pencil and a button or sticker will be available for those who register to vote.
In Clallam County, the office is in the county courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Suite 1, in Port Angeles, and is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Voter pins and stickers will be available for those who register to vote.
The occasion comes ahead of several voter registration deadlines for those looking to cast a ballot in the Nov. 5 general election.
One deadline is Oct. 28
Oct. 28 is the deadline for the offices to receive registrations submitted by mail or online.
In-person registrations may be received up to Nov. 5 at the offices.
New registrants or voters updating their current registration can do so online through VoteWA at www.votewa.gov or by contacting their auditor’s office.
