WITH PLENTIFUL INVENTORY and record-breaking affordability, real estate professionals have scheduled dozens of open houses today in Clallam and Jefferson counties in conjunction with the second day of Realtors Nationwide Open House Weekend.
The open houses — at single-family homes, condos and townhouses — are designed to kick-start the spring-summer selling season.
A special section in Friday’s Peninsula Daily News listed many of the open houses, including photos, descriptions and addresses.
The section can be read online at http://tinyurl.com/peninsulaopenhouses.
About 45 percent of all buyers used open houses as a source in their home-search process last year, according to a study by the National Association of Realtors.
Women are more likely to use open houses than men.
Older buyers rely more on open houses than younger buyers, and buyers with higher incomes also are more likely to visit open houses, the study showed.
