OLYMPIA — Gov. Jay Inslee has added a stop in Finland to next month’s trade mission itinerary.
Last month, Inslee’s office confirmed he’d be heading to the Farnborough Airshow in England, leaving on July 11. On Tuesday, it was announced that he would be heading to Helsinki following the airshow. He’ll be meeting with government officials and representatives of the Nordic Council of Ministers in Finland, and he’ll also visit Nokia, whose mobile devices and services business was acquired by Microsoft in April.
Inslee also plans to tour Neste Oil’s renewable diesel refinery, and will meet with companies interested in investment opportunities in Washington.
A delegation of about 25 people, including those from local government and business, will join Inslee and Department of Commerce Director Brian Bonlender beginning July 13.
Inslee returns to the state July 20.
