PORT ANGELES — Westport Shipyard Inc. officials will be joined by business and community leaders to celebrate the grand opening of the company’s new luxury yacht plant from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday.
The reception is open to the public, with tours of the building from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
At 11:15 a.m., there will be a short program followed by a ribbon-cutting.
Company officials expected to be on hand for the ground-breaking event include Westport Vice President Larry Nelson, Westport Port Angeles plant manager Lee Taubeneck and Westport’s principal owner, Orin Edson.
Westport’s new facility is located at 637 Marine Drive.
Go west on Marine Drive to Cedar Street (which is just before the light at Tumwater Truck Route), turn right.
Proceed north (toward the water) a short distance to the Marine Terminal parking area. Watch for signs. Park and walk to Westport.
