SEQUIM — Potential volunteers and interested community members can learn more about hospice during a six-week series that will begin March 7.
The Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County Community & Volunteer Education Series is set from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. each Friday afternoon through April 11 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 N. Blake Ave.
The program is free and open to the public. Registration is required because space is limited.
A different topic will be addressed each session.
They are:
■ March 7 — “Introduction to Hospice,” Dr. Marilyn Nelsen, volunteer services manager.
■ March 14 — “Attitudes Toward Death & Dying I,” Bette Wood, RN, patient care manager.
■ March 21 — “Attitudes Toward Death & Dying II.” Discussion.
■ March 28 — “The Grieving Process,” DVD and guest speaker, Debby Smith, RN.
■ April 4 — Mortuary services and legal services. Guest speakers.
■ April 11 — Series wrap-up and evaluation, Nelsen.
