SHINE — The Hood Canal bridge is scheduled to close for 90 minutes tonight.
The state Department of Transportation will close the bridge to traffic during slack time from 10 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. so contractor Kiewit-General can make ballasting measurements on the west half of the floating bridge as part of preparations for the replacement of the east end of the bridge next May.
Tonight’s work is weather dependent and subject to change.
