SHINE — The Hood Canal Bridge was snarled this morning following a collision involving four cars — including two which left the scene before troopers arrived.
The floating bridge was reduced to one lane following the 10:19 a.m. crash. Two-way traffic was restored about 11 a.m.
The collision began when a car driven by Cole Joseph Andersson, 19, of Port Angeles struck the rear of a slowed vehicle driven by Linda Lee DeMoss, 56, also of Port Angeles, in the eastbound lane.
The DeMoss car was pushed into two vehicles in front of it, but they were gone “prior to law enforcement response,” according to a State Patrol report.
The drivers were reportedly uninjured, but an 82-year-old passenger in the DeMoss car was taken to Harrison Medical Center, Bremerton, with a possible neck injury.
