Gusty winds in Port Townsend, Forks areas

The National Weather Service has issued this wind advisory for the Quimper Peninsula/Port Townsend and West End coast.

A SERIES OF SMALL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEMS MOVING THROUGH THE COASTAL

WATERS AND INTO VANCOUVER ISLAND WILL BRING BRING STRONG AND

POTENTIALLY DAMAGING WINDS TO THE COAST AND NORTH INTERIOR THROUGH

THIS EVENING. TWO PERIODS OF STRONG WINDS ARE EXPECTED. THE FIRST

PERIOD OF STRONG SOUTH TO SOUTHEAST WIND IS OCCURRING NOW AND WILL

CONTINUE THROUGH THE EARLY AFTERNOON HOURS AS A FIRST LOW MOVES

WEST OF VANCOUVER ISLAND. WINDS WILL WEAKEN FOR A FEW HOURS MID

AFTERNOON THEN WILL INCREASE AGAIN LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS

EVENING AS A SECOND LOW MOVES THROUGH THE COASTAL WATERS INTO

CENTRAL VANCOUVER ISLAND.

A HIGH WIND WARNING FOR THE NORTH AND CENTRAL WASHINGTON COAST

REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT PST TONIGHT.
