NEAH BAY — A fishing vessel that ran aground near Neah Bay on Monday is back afloat today following an overnight high tide.
The state Department of Ecology, Coast Guard and Makah tribe responded to the 88-foot Kristena Rose after the boat ran aground at Shipwreck Point on Monday evening.
The commercial fishing boat was pulled off the beach about 2 a.m. today, with help from a second fishing vessel which provided a pull.
The Kristena Rose is now docked in Neah Bay. There is a floating boom around the vessel as a precautionary step until the boat
has been inspected by the Coast Guard and allowed to get under way.
There has been no spill or discharge, Ecology reported.
