GoFundMe campaign started for missing hiker family

BRINNON – A GoFundMe campaign has been started to help the family of an Olympia man who has been missing from the Ranger Hole Trailhead area near Brinnon since Monday afternoon.

Christine Ambler organized the fundraiser, which can be seen at https://gf.me/v/c/bd6d/funds-for- volunteers-and-flights, to help the family of Joshua Guerrier, 28, Olympia.

Guerrier was the subject of a missing person notice released Tuesday afternoon on the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.

He is described as Black; standing 6 feet, 2 inches tall; and weighing 220 pounds with a beard.

On the GoFundMe page, Ambler explained, “This fundraiser is to provide support to Joshua’s family during this treacherous storm in their life so they can continue their focus on finding him and have peace.”

As of Thursday afternoon, “Love for Joshua Guerrier” had raised $2,350 toward its goal of $5,000.

The fundraising page reads, “Katia’s son, Joshua is missing and it is taking GOD, the rescue crews and family to help find him. Can you help?

“Josh went missing on Memorial Day while hiking with his dog near Ranger Hole trail in Brinnon, Washington and is still not found. Josh is a native of Virginia Beach, Va. and has family and friends in between. His family, friends, rangers and countless volunteers continue to search at this present time. “This fundraiser is to provide support to Joshua’s family during this treacherous storm in their life so they can continue their focus on finding him and have peace. Thank you for any support and prayers you can give. God Bless You.”
