Government meetings across North Olympic Peninsula

The boards of local government agencies will meet next week on the North Olympic Peninsula.

• Port Angeles city

The Port Angeles city council will hear a presentation on glass recycling during a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

• Jefferson County

The three Jefferson County commissioners will conduct a public hearing regarding fourth quarter budget appropriations when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.

The hybrid meeting is at the commissioners chambers in the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson Street, Port Townsend.

The commissioners will hear a public health and emergency management update at 9:45 a.m., discuss the conservation futures program application period and discuss the Board of Natural Resources election ballot for Heidi Eisenhour. Clallam County Commissioner Bill Peach, who lost reelection on Nov.8, is currently the board’s vice-chair.

Items on the consent agenda include 15 agreements to disburse a total of $868,205 in 2023 lodging tax funds, an agreement obligating $1.5 million in American Rescue Plan Act for the Port Hadlock wastewater project, an agreement with the Olympic Peninsula YMCA for $290,000 in American Rescue Plan Act funding for childcare facility design, planning and construction.

Association of counties

The Washington State Association of Counties will hear a weekly update on COVID-19 when they meet at noon Monday.

Both Clallam and Jefferson counties will participate.
