PORT ANGELES — Free outdoor concerts on the North Olympic Peninsula kick off summer with the inaugural Concert on the Pier in Port Angeles on Wednesday night.
A Tuesday night series begins June 30 in Sequim, followed by a Thursday night series in Port Townsend that starts July 2.
All of the concerts are free.
Port Angeles’ downbeat at 6 p.m. Wednesday will come from the band Strait Shots, which will perform classic rock ’n’ roll on the stage at City Pier for two hours.
Strait Shots is composed of Stephanie Clark, lead singer; Chris Stevens, lead guitar; John Kinsella, bass and other instruments; Stef Anderson, drums; and Garland “GF” Frankfurth, keyboards.
Dancing is encouraged at the concerts.
City Pier is a dog-friendly, no-smoking, no-skateboards, no-alcohol venue.
Some chairs are available for the disabled and early arrivals. There are two snack and beverage vendors.
