Free holiday meals are planned on the North Olympic Peninsula on Christmas Day today.
The dinners are arranged by community.
CHIMACUM
Tri-Area meal
CHIMACUM — A free Christmas meal is set at Tri-Area Community Center from noon to 3 p.m. today.
The community center is located at 10 West Valley Road, Chimacum. The public is welcome.
The meal is organized by Bill Kraut and Elena Lovato-Kraut, owners of Hadlock Building Supply, and put on by volunteers with East Jefferson County Rotary working with Olympic Community Action Programs.
Along with a donation from Jefferson Healthcare, local bakery Pane d’Amore donated more than 300 rolls and Farm’s Reach Cafe in Chimacum donated 60 pumpkin pies for the occasion.
Aside from bread and pie, the menu consists of ham, lasagna, green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy and salad.
Home delivery is available for those who can’t make it to the meal.

PORT TOWNSEND
Free meal
PORT TOWNSEND — Better Living Through Coffee will host a free Christmas dinner from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. today.
The meal will feature “lasagna, some kind of meat, salads and appetizers,” with dessert of Christmas-style apple pie and apple cider, according to a news release.
The shop at 100 Tyler St. also will have a donation bucket for a local nonprofit.

SEQUIM — Kettel’s 76 will offer a free traditional Christmas dinner from noon to 5 p.m. today.
Free 12-ounce fountain drinks and coffee also will be served at 194 W. Washington St.

Feeding 5,000
FORKS — All are welcome at Forks Community Center to the Feeding 5000: Christmas Dinner from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. today.
The community center is located at 91 Maple Ave.
