PORT HADLOCK — A presentation on Middle East alliances is planned tonight.
Great Decisions 2016 — discussions produced by the Foreign Policy Association — will be offered on eight consecutive Thursday evenings beginning tonight.
The free discussions, cosponsored by the Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship’s Adult Learning Program, will be at 6 p.m. at Jefferson County Library, 620 Cedar Ave.
Facilitated by Joyce Francis, Ph.D., each weekly discussion focuses on the importance of the topic to Americans.
Francis taught International Relations at George Mason, Tulane, and American universities.
Prior to using the Great Decisions curriculum, Francis used her own online curriculum, Literacy for Globalists, for civic education in international affairs.
Each weekly discussion will be accompanied by a short video.
Participants can attend the entire series of discussions or one lecture.
No previous registration is required, and limited seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

■ March 17 – The Future of Kurdistan.
■ March 24 – Migration.
■ March 31 – The Koreas.
■ April 7 – The United Nations.
■ April 14 – Climate Change.
■ April 21 – Cuba and the U.S.
