FORKS — Four people were taken to Forks Community Hospital after a one-vehicle rollover collision at U.S. Highway 101 and Bunker Road south of Forks, according to a State Patrol memo.
A 2006 Lexus GS driven by Venkata S. Neelam Raju, 26, of Seattle was northbound on U.S. Highway 101 at the Bunker Road intersection about 4:45 p.m. Sunday when the vehicle left the roadway to the right, the memo stated. The driver overcorrected to the left, crossed the centerline and left the roadway again.
It came to rest over an embankment in the southbound ditch.
Raju was taken to Forks Community Hospital. He was wearing his seatbelt and was cited for wheels off the roadway, the memo stated.
Three passengers — Harshika R. Gupta, 28, Nisarga Ravi Ravi Kumar, 26, and Sneha Ravichandran, 26, all of Seattle — were also taken to Forks Community Hospital. Gupta and Ravichandran were not wearing seat belts, according to the State Patrol. None of their conditions were available on Monday.
The car was completely destroyed. Neither drugs nor alcohol were involved, the State Patrol said.
