SHINE — Four people were injured — with two being flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle — after a six-vehicle wreck near the Hood Canal Bridge on Sunday.
At about 1:45 p.m., several of the vehicles involved were stopped in a turnout on the south side of state Highway 104, near the west side of the bridge, when at least one car collided with them, said Keppie Keplinger, spokeswoman for several Jefferson County fire districts.
Additional details on the wreck and the severity of injuries involved were not immediately available Sunday.
State Patrol troopers are investigating the cause of the wreck, and the area was cleared by about 3 p.m.
Port Ludlow Fire & Rescue, East Jefferson Fire-Rescue, Quilcene Fire Rescue, Kitsap Fire Department and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department also responded to the wreck.
