PORT ANGELES — The field has been narrowed to four finalists for the position of interim city manager.
The City Council will interview the finalists between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. next Thursday in council chambers at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St.
Port Angeles Human Resources Director Bob Coons wouldn’t name the finalists, or their hometowns, on Wednesday.
Those who confirm that they will be interviewed will be identified, he said.
The candidates were selected at Tuesday’s City Council meeting.
Tuesday’s meeting was the last regular council meeting for City Manager Mark Madsen, who submitted his resignation on July 9, effective Sept. 1.
The council had directed Coons to seek interim manager candidates who live close to Port Angeles to save money.
The four finalists all have city manager experience in some form, Mayor Gary Braun said.
