SEQUIM — The Olympic View Community Foundation is inviting Clallam County nonprofit organizations to a nonprofit town hall meeting.
The event will be from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. June 13 at the Dungeness River Nature Center, 1943 W. Hendrickson Road. RSVPs are requested by Monday. Organizations can confirm attendance by emailing execdirector@ov-cf.org with the number of representatives attending.
The town hall will provide an opportunity for nonprofit leaders to gather over light morning fare and participate in a guided conversation, moderated by OVCF board co-chair Susan Bonner. The discussion will focus on how recent federal grant freezes, funding cuts and cancellations are affecting local nonprofit organizations and how they’re adapting as they plan for 2026. The insights shared will directly inform adjustments to OVCF’s grantmaking process this year.
“With funding on the line at both the federal and state levels, many nonprofits are facing difficult decisions,” said Jessica Elliott, executive director of OVCF. “We want to hear directly from our local organizations — about the challenges they’re navigating, how they’re adapting, and how we can work together to ensure the needs of our community continue to be met as efficiently and effectively as possible.”
OVCF encourages nonprofit leaders to attend and share their experiences, whether directly affected by funding freezes or experiencing shifts with pass-through grants, collaborations or changing partnerships. Organizations unable to attend will have an opportunity to contribute through a questionnaire that OVCF will distribute closer to the event.
