PORT TOWNSEND — The Jefferson County commissioners will host a public meeting Thursday to discuss the proposed Port Hadlock Sewer Project.
The meeting starts at 5 p.m. and will be conducted via Zoom due to COVID-19 restrictions.
People can join the Zoom meeting online at https://zoom.us/j/94122161571 or by phone by dialing 1-253-215-8782 and entering webinar ID: 941-2216-1571#. For callers to participate, they will need to press *9 to raise their hand, according to the county’s website.
The meeting also can be viewed (but not participated in) by going to www.co.jefferson.wa.us, clicking on “video of meetings” under “quick links” and then clicking on “streaming live.”
More information on the sewer project can be found at https://www.co.jefferson.wa.us/1158/ Port-Hadlock-Wastewater-System.
Recently, there have been concerns raised by the “Concerned Residents of Port Hadlock,” who are “demanding straight answers” about the project, and the county is hoping to be able to address those concerns during the forum, county commission Chair Kate Dean has said previously.
