PORT ANGELES — Charges of theft and forgery against the former director of Camp Fire USA Juan de Fuca Council will be dismissed if she pays more than $8,000 in restitution and completes a felony diversion program.
Teresa Lee Rodocker, 45, of Port Angeles allegedly stole $7,217 from the organization by writing checks to herself.
She was charged with one count of theft 1 and two counts of forgery in August, after the theft was reported last January.
Rodocker stipulated in a court document “that the facts contained within the investigation reports are sufficient for a trier of fact to find me guilty of the charge(s) presently filed against me.”
She agreed to enter a 36-month diversion program Jan. 13. If completed, the charges of first-degree theft and two counts of forgery will be dropped.
The requirements of the program include reporting to Clallam County Friendship Diversion Services, paying administrative costs, having no criminal violations, completing community service hours and paying restitution, according to court documents.
Rodocker was ordered to pay $8,777 in restitution, including $2,000 to the organization to cover court costs.
Police said she used club funds to give herself an unauthorized bonus, pay for plumbing work at her home and buy cigarettes.
She was fired as club director in March.
If convicted, she would face between three and nine months in jail.
The club, based in Port Angeles, hosts youth programs and a camp at Camp David Jr., located at Lake Crescent.
