PORT ANGELES — A 53-year-old Forks resident accused of dealing methamphetamine and heroin in Forks is expected to appear in Clallam County Superior Court on Monday.
Olympic Peninsula Narcotics Enforcement Team (OPNET) investigators arrested Dianne Helland in her Forks home Wednesday after a six-month-long investigation, they said.
They found 1.7.57 grams of heroin, 3.5 grams of cocaine, 3 grams of meth, 35 Suboxone strips, three oxycodone, $2,850 cash, scales and packaging materials, according to a press release.
During the investigation detectives used confidential informants to purchase meth and heroin from Helland on two occasions, with both transactions happening at her home on the 400 block of Terra Eden Street — within 150 feet of a bus stop, OPNET said.
“During one of the purchases, detectives observed elementary school children getting off their school bus,” Sgt. Tom Kuch said in the press release.
Helland remained held in the Clallam County jail Saturday for investigation of two counts of delivery of meth, one count of delivery of heroin and delivery of controlled substances within 1,000 feet of a school bus stop.
