State Rep. Lynn Kessler, D-Hoquiam, will be in Forks today to tour the city’s “high tech high,” Forks Community Hospital and other sites.
At 2 p.m., Kessler will hold an hour-long public forum at Peninsula College’s Forks Branch, 71 S. Forks Ave., to discuss issues facing the state and answer residents’ questions.
Kessler’s visit begins at 9:30 a.m. with a visit to Forks High School, the first rural high-tech high school in the country funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Kessler will walk through the Forks Tech Center Building, then tour the hospital beginning at about 11 a.m.
Kessler also will meet with representatives from local groups involved in state natural resource issues.
