FORKS — A 38-year-old Forks man was found this morning after vanishing during a bike ride Saturday morning.
Adam Barnhart was found walking on the A Road — a U.S. Forest Service road in the Forks area — by a Forest Service employee.
Medics checked him out and cleared him to go home.
Barnhart told searchers that he went for a bike ride on the logging roads off Calawah Way and was lost.
After finding Elk Creek, he attempted to follow it out but could not, he told the Forks Police Department.
He eventually came out of the forest on A Road.
The Clallam County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue team headed out on Monday afternoon after some family and friends searching heard someone yelling help in the woods south east of Forks, said Chief Criminal Deputy Ron Cameron.
“Before we had nothing to go on,” he said.
“We had no where to look or no starting point to try and find him, but now we have dispatched the search and rescue team.”
Family and friends had searched the area on four wheelers since Saturday afternoon.
