FORKS — The city of Forks is requesting residents to follow voluntary conservation measures to reduce water use.
The city is seeing a drop in the levels of the deep wells it uses to supply the community’s water system, according to a press release.
Coupled with a forecasted return to dry conditions over the next seven to 10 days, the city is requesting residents to comply with the following measures:
• Limit outdoor watering to 30 minutes every other day and do that watering in the early morning or late evening.
• Limit vehicle washing to once every five to seven days unless required, such as commercial trucks.
• Only run washing machines and dishwashers when they are full.
